My Hobby

So i'm writing this blog and it is actually my very first blog. So decided to write about a hobby and if I had to choose it would be videogames. I started playing videogames when I was young with my brother and cousins. We would sit in a room for hours trying to beat Super Mario and take turns until the job was done. I personally was not very good at 2D platdformers but, I still had fun. As I got older I started playing games like Tony Hawk and WWE Day of Reckoning for the Gamecube mostly because of my brother was a big skateboarding and wrestling fan. Still, I did not buy my own console until I was in high school; that was when I bought an Xbox 360 from a friend and that was when videogames really became a hobby of mine. I got into Halo 3 and would spend tons of hours per week playing Halo and even joined a club in school dedicated to playing Halo competitively. To me Halo offered this unique and otherwise amazing universe where you can gather with a bunch of people and compete to see who was the best. I never reached a status of major league gaming but, I can say I was pretty damn good haha. As Halo slowly faded into the background and many other titles began popping out I started getting into sandbox and RPG games or Role Playing Games. Games like Fallout, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy and Borderlands; these games provided a vast universe that you can spend hours doing quests that were not even related to the main story. I still to this day enjoy these games because the competitiveness of FPS games can get annoying at times and would rather spend a few hours with NPC's or non-playable characters. Videogames became a rather larg part of my life at a certain point and even though i do not play as much as I used to I still have love for them.
